James Shipway Quartet

The James Shipway Quartet is rapidly establishing itself as an exciting and dynamic force on the jazz scene. Featuring four of the regions finest musicians, the quartet plays distinctive original material showing traces of contemporary jazz composers such as Kenny Wheeler and Wayne Shorter plus other diverse influences from across the spectrum of modern music. The unique sound of the band is showcased on their recent debut album Alley Dance; a tour de force offering of burning modern bop, shimmering ballads and quirky odd meter grooves.
