has been playing on the London circuit for the past four years, steadily building a following with their grooving, highly melodic originals drawing on the likes of The Bad Plus and the Tin Hat Trio. Their exceptional debut recording, 'Everybody Loves the Will Collier Septet', was released on the F-IRE record label in 2008.
The four horn front line delivers a bold and dynamic sound, which is underpinned by Colliers hard hitting solid bass rhythms. The bands influences are broad, and their music has been compared to the likes of Bill Frisell and Dave Holland and yet there are moments when an African melody integrates itself unobtrusively into proceedings.
"To me the music of the Will Collier Septet has so many things of what i love about music; beautiful melody, groove, individuality, sincerity, much feeling, surprising structures. But most of all it sounds like people expressing together as one in a pure and clear way. I enjoy alot to listen!" -

"Will Collier - a gifted young, British double bassist Collier leads a dynamite septet stylistically recalling the likes of Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland, Tin Hat Trio, Bad Plus and Medeski Martin and Wood. Very Impressive." -
