 , having graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Masters degree in performance, has established himself as a busy freelance saxophonist, performing in a variety of settings from jazz, pop and big band, to orchestral and solo recitals.
For his trio, Edward has collaborated with the excellent musicians Neil Burns and Al Swainger, both of whom are well known in the South West for their work with their own bands and for performing with some of the countries finest jazz players. The trio aim to produce a smooth and melodic sound that pays respect to the greats of the 'cool jazz' period such as Paul Desmond and Art Pepper.
In addition to the trio, Edward leads "Jazz Machine", a 5 piece jazz
and soul band and "Blaze", an innovative group consisting of soprano
saxophone and string quartet. Edward also teaches the saxophone at
Wells Cathedral Specialist Music School.
