 has, over the past few years, been acclaimed throughout Britain as one of our very finest bands, headlining festivals everywhere. Leader George Huxley is a reedsman with an international following. His thrilling soprano saxophone sound has frequently been likened to that of the legendary Sidney Bechet.
Joining George in a stunning frontline are trumpet ace Gordon Whitworth and fine trombonist Ron Hills. Jon Penn’s sparkling stride piano style and powerhouse drummer Barry Norman together with the strong rhythmic bass of John Fellows complete the rhythm section. Vocalist Caz Shennington has been singing with the band for 15 years and has gained many fans with her charismatic interpretation of Jazz and Blues.
