 brings together the talents of five excellent U.K. jazz musicians. The front line of fine tenor saxophonist Pete Canter and lyrical trumpet and flugelhorn player Ben Thomas is complemented by a formidable rhythm section consisting of Jim Blomfield on piano, Erika Lyons on bass and Gary Evans on drums.
This exciting new quintet will be performing a full-on set of choice hard-bop and latin jazz standards and original music composed by Pete Canter.
Jinrikisha is a Japanese word meaning human-powered vehicle - a fitting name for a quintet with this energy. South West jazz fans will be familiar with Pete, who acts as something of a catalyst for the local jazz scene.
