. In the '70's Dave Stradwick was a member of the very popular London based band The West End Stompers. In the '80's he joined Tony Scrivans Vintage Jazz with Jack Gilbert and Ray Holland and later lead the band for many years. He was with Gambit and Papa Joes bands throughout the '90's before forming the Sussex Jazz Kings.
The band is now a fine exponent of happy traditional jazz, in the broad New Orleans style. They play at all the major jazz festivals and tour the country to perform at most of the great jazz clubs. In the last few years they have had many bookings across Europe and beyond.
