The Baddest Blues Band Ever
Tony Oreshko Trio & Tim Kliphuis
Zoe Schwarz

Tony Oreshko has performed at major jazz festivals throughout the UK and Europe, and has established himself as a truly outstanding acoustic jazz guitarist. Although influenced by the Hot Club style of Django Reinhardt, his playing takes in a wealth of other musical influences that include Latin American music, bebop, classical music, French musettes and traditional gypsy tunes. The resulting sound is melodic, varied and undeniably exciting in its virtuosity.

Joining Tony in his trio is dynamic young rhythm guitarist Glen Hawkins, who is now making his mark as a jazz musician after a successful career playing in folk bands. Completing the trio is double bass player Doug Kyle. Doug is also an internationally acclaimed instrument maker, and makes all the instruments used by the trio.

Tim Kliphuis. As a special guest we are delighted to officially welcome Dutchman Tim Kliphuis. He 'sat in' with Tony at last years' festival and it was so good, we have asked them all back this year. Tim is fast gaining a reputation as one of the most imaginative, exciting and entertaining violinists on the acoustic scene. He combines Gypsy, Classical, Folk, Tango, World music and Grappelli jazz to create an inspired and daring fusion with soulful melodies, driving rhythms and funky chords.
