Charlie Hearnshaw Quartet
Charlie's website

The quartet features Charlie Hearnshaw clarinet and alto sax, Andrew Barrett guitar and Mike Thorn double bass and Coach York on drums. The quartet has been together for twelve years, presents it's own brand of user-friendly, melodic, swinging contemporary jazz and world music. The sound is forward looking and innovative without being introverted, angry or disappearing beyond the realms of human comprehension: the musicians champion old-school values of melody, harmony, solid bass and rhythm.
