This course introduces musicians to jazz improvisation skills plus, a basic understanding of harmony, chord structure and rhythm.
It is open to all ages and all instruments and will be run by the very accomplished composer and keyboard player, Tom Unwin.
The course will take place on Tuesday evenings for a 10 week term at a cost of £65.00. The location is Trinity School, Buckeridge Road, Teignmouth, TQ14 8LY, and participants should be ready to play at 7.30pm. Access available from 7pm.
The next course will begin in September 2012.
Jazz Performance Workshop
This course is for more experienced players and geared towards performance. The course will explore scales, chord structures, modes and multiple part harmonies. It is open to all ages and all instruments and will be run by the very accomplished composer and saxophone player, Neil Maya.
