With austerity in the air we are especially indebted to our sponsors. Teignmouth Town Council and Cllr Sylvia Russell have, as ever, been generous and Teignbridge Borough Council has funded the music in the streets.  While local sponsors The Bronx Bar, Regent Style and Dicey O’Reillys who have all supported  Blues Bands.

We are very proud to be one of the first beneficiaries of an exciting new project from Jazz South (who are funded by the Arts Council England). ‘Platform South’ is their scheme in which exciting and original bands are showcased then subsidised for those promoters who book them.  It is a wonderful idea and everyone is a winner with the bands being able to grow their reputation, Festivals being able to afford such bands and the audience who will be hearing great new music. Look out for the Jazz South Logo in the band listings

On the lighter side many thanks for bassist Jim Rintoul who is not only playing the Festival but has contributed the jokes scattered among the programme .

And finally heartfelt thanks to the TJB team and the many volunteers who have delivered this Festival and made it work. Thanks Team you should be proud of your efforts.
